Visionary Solutions Appoints New Head of Sales and Marketing

DMN Newswire--2012-2-9--Visionary Solutions Inc. today announced that the company has appointed Mike Piper as its new vice president of sales and marketing. In his new role, Piper will be responsible for leading global sales, marketing, and new product development efforts for Visionary Solutions' IPTV products, including its flagship product -- the AVN443 encoder.

"Mike is an experienced sales and marketing executive, with a proven track record of developing and delivering innovative products and solutions," said Jordan Christoff, president, Visionary Solutions. "One of Mike's goals at Visionary Solutions is to create a branding strategy that conveys instant recognition of Visionary Solutions' technology solutions worldwide. He will also seek out and develop new OEM opportunities. Mike brings a very high level of expertise to Visionary Solutions that will increase our company's recognition and sales in the global IPTV market."

Piper, a former co-founder and director of product marketing at Telestream, most recently served as the product marketing manager for video walls and multi-viewers at RGB Spectrum. Piper worked at RGB Spectrum for five years, where he was instrumental in increasing the company's product line revenues by tenfold.



Piper will report to Christoff and is based out of the company's headquarters in Santa Barbara, Calif. He is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and an expert in IPTV, H.264 capture and transport, video-over-IP networks, CATV, virtual IP A/V network switching, display processors, video walls, multiviewers, routing systems, and product development.
